While walking on the Loire river’s dyke, between Angers and Saumur, you feel like you get peckish. In that case, stop by Le Cosy, in Saint-Mathurin sur Loire. You will be warmly welcomed in a friendly atmosphere in the beautiful terrace in front of the river. You will taste the delicious “galettes” and “crêpes” made with flour from the Moulin de Sarré and fresh and quality products. However, if you like sharing, you will love our plates with cold meats and cheeses from Corsica! As for the wines, the owners are fans and know the producers: they are good and often organic.

The restaurant behind Le Quai, in the Doutre side of the Maine, is a well-known address for gourmets in Angers for years. L’Ardoise was taken over in 2016 by Brice Sanchez and Thibault Savornin and kept its excellent reputation. Those two friends have worked in the Tour d’Argent and the Abbaye de Fontevraud restaurant and cook generous dishes, with audacious, but always brilliant, mixes of flavours. A real treat for your taste buds and eyes. What about drinking a wine with your dishes? The wine list contains many organic wines. Do not hesitate to ask Thibault for advice. The warm bar decoration and friendly atmosphere make you want to come back. We advise you to try it by yourself as soon as possible!

The cellar of Alexandre and Anne-Hélène includes a selection of dozens of references for lovers of natural wines, organic or biodynamic. They will advise you in your choice if you are novices.
It is an essential place in the train station area where you can enjoy a few drinks with deli or cheese platters.
