



APPLE CRUMBLE
The ingredients
- 1 kg apples
- 150 g flour
- 75 g butter + a little extra for greasing
- 250 g caster sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
The recipe
Pre-heat the oven to 240°C.
Peel and core the apples and cut into large pieces.
Add 1 tbsp water and cook over a high heat for two minutes. Reduce heat and continue cooking for 7-8 minutes. Crush any remaining large pieces of apple with a fork.
Stir in 125 g of sugar and half a tsp of cinnamon. Transfer the mixture to a buttered dish.
Add the flour, the rest of the sugar and the cinnamon to the butter and rub in with your fingers until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Spread the crumble mixture over the cooked apples and bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
