Stepping into Spring with Loire Valley Rosé

Back to news

Because many grape varieties thrive across the Loire Valley, our rosé wines come from a range of grapes including Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grolleau (Noir and Gris), Pineau d’Aunis, Gamay, and Pinot Noir.

Though each appellation (and each winemaker) creates their own distinct wines,  the cool climate of our entire region allows the grapes to ripen steadily while retaining their natural acidity, leading to irresistibly refreshing rosé wines.

Though the diversity of grapes and terroirs across the Loire Valley means the wines show a variety of aromas and flavors, they’ve all got one thing in common: They’re incredibly food-friendly! From complementing aromatic Thai street food to elevating the fresh flavors of early spring salads, their versatility on the table makes Loire rosé a must-have for wine lovers.

We LOVE this recipe from @Jane at Always Ravenous when the first rosés hit our table. The cherry tomatoes and tangy goat cheese – another traditional Loire Valley product! – is a perfect pairing with bright, refreshing rosé wines!
