TOURAINE OISLY

Région de production

Did you know ?

The village of Oisly has a long tradition of winegrowing, and is recognised as the home of the famous Sauvignon grape. Although it had been flourishing in the sandy soils of Sologne since 1905, Sauvignon really began to develop in the 1960s. In the mid 1980s, an organisation was founded  to acknowledge the Oisly terroir and its character -  the first step on the journey to official recognition. Generation followed generation, and  wine professionals continue to create outstanding wines to showcase the Sauvignon grape.
