CHATEAU DE GOULAINE

15 minutes southeast of Nantes, guided tour of the castle and discover the museum Official LU biscuits, unique testimony of the heritage of this brand Nantes. This Breton property was built on Britain march in the Middle Ages. From a fortified castle, it was transformed into a Renaissance chateau, tufa stone. Living place of an ancient family, this chateau in the Loire, reveals fully decorated interiors of the sixteenth and seventeenth century. Until private kitchens of the castle are open to you. In older and 500 m², discover or rediscover all the works that have made the history of the brand. From 1846 to today, a trip back in time! Cave de la Berthelotière

A well-known family of winegrowers and crop farmers. At Cave de la Berthelotière, winemaking is carried out in their own individual winery. The domain has 13 hectares of traditional vineyards (low-growing vines for quality wines). Guided tour of the cellar in the tuffeau stone (with explanation on producing wine) and tasting session with local products. Also : possibility to visit the vines being sat in a carriage linked to a 50’s tractor. Open days during a week-end in the middle of April.

Domaine Nicolas Brunet

For nine generations, the Brunet family manages 17 hectares of vines in AOC vouvray harvested by hand. I only sell the wines of my estate, from practices that respect the environment (my wines contain no pesticide residue). My cellars are entirely troglodyte.
