TOURAINE AMBOISE

Production Region

Did you know ?

The winegrowing area surrounds Château d’Amboise, one of the most beautiful châteaux in the Touraine. Such was the quality of the local wines that in 1463, Louis XI, himself extremely fond of Amboise wines, ordered that they be sold in Tours market in preference to any others. Amboise wine made an appearance in the Royal Court in the reign of François I.
